Besides learning how to use smokers, manage hives, bait colonies, pests management and innovative bee crafts, this practicum includes a two-day trip to Simpang Rengam, Malaysia, where participants get to learn how to harvest honey from both stingless bees and Asian honey bees.

For Women: BEE Empowered
Unlocking Potential Through Purposeful Beekeeping

In many societies, the vital roles women play are too often underappreciated, undervalued, or even marginalised. At Bee aMAZEd, we believe it's time to change that—by drawing inspiration from nature’s most hardworking and essential contributors: the female worker bees.
Our Women’s Beekeeping Programme is designed to empower women with practical skills, confidence, and a pathway to financial independence. Through hands-on training, women learn to sustainably produce and sell honey, wax, and other bee products—building self-reliance and contributing meaningfully to their families and communities.
Beyond economic benefits, the programme nurtures leadership, decision-making, and environmental stewardship. Women become educators, protectors of biodiversity, and respected community voices. Like the worker bees, they rise with purpose—resilient, resourceful, and essential to the future.
At Bee aMAZEd, we don't just teach beekeeping—we restore women to their rightful status in society.
